About 15 minutes in the workshop, and $7 later, the Palantir Commission just got itself a waldorf-style, very abstract set of components to build tactical scenes. Here is a screenshot from the
last session:

The whole scene a few turns into the battle. |

Irina sniping at the tall guy's arteries from 30 yards. |

Kasper and Galdor leaving a wake of destruction behind them. |

Fits well into a small container or two. |

Another shot from the Eastern approach. |
By having quick ways to add clutter to the map, combats will be more interesting. Adding rough terrain markers (flat circles) will also add a layer of diversity for combats. I'm going to add a bit more small parts, some pieces for pillars and trees.
This is super cool. And lots of stuff for Fin to hide behind.
ReplyDeleteTrying to move away from an infinite and smooth plane kind of setup!
DeleteVery cool. This would be better than the Legos I use, if only because one of my players keeps dis-assembling my premade wall sections and then making them into little Lego forts.
ReplyDeleteThey look nicer, too.
Thanks! If my players take apart the pine blocks, I'll have to use hard maple... and they'll need to eat the splinters.
DeleteKasper, as the future founder of the Order of The Nights Who Say 'Ni', would like to have some shrubbery represented to go along with the pillars and trees.
ReplyDeleteIt does need trees, I'll make shrubbery as well, why not?
DeletePerfect.
